The scalp is cleaner straight away. The effect on the hair comes gradually and is assessed after three to six months.

Overview & Procedure

What the treatment is and how it's performed

What it is

The trio treatment combines three steps for the scalp in one hour. First, the scalp is deep-cleansed of oil and product build-up. Then the scalp is treated with microneedling, and finally a hair booster is injected where the hair is thin. The combination gives the hair follicles cleansing, stimulation and nutrients.

  • Usually three to four treatments four weeks apart.
  • Maintenance as needed.

  1. The practitioner examines your hair and scalp and goes through your health.
  2. The scalp is deep-cleansed.
  3. The scalp is treated with microneedling.
  4. A hair booster is injected in small amounts where the hair is thin.

The treatment takes about an hour.

Experience & Recovery

Pain level, downtime and healing

Most people rate the discomfort 3–5 out of 10, because the scalp is sensitive. Cooling or numbing cream can be used.

  • Common: tenderness, a mild headache and small bruises on the scalp for a day or two.
  • Uncommon: small bumps or swelling on the scalp and forehead.
  • Rare: infection or an allergic reaction.

  • Wait until the next day before washing your hair or using hair products.
  • Avoid hard exercise, saunas and hot baths for the first day.
  • Wait a week before colouring, bleaching or perming.

No real downtime. The scalp can be tender and slightly swollen for a day. Small marks are hidden by the hair. Wait until the next day to wash your hair.

Expectations & Safety

Who it's for and safety information

  • Hair loss has many causes, for example heredity, hormones, iron deficiency, thyroid problems, stress and illness. The cause should be assessed before treatment.
  • Hair grows slowly. The result is assessed after three to six months.
  • The treatment only works on hair follicles that are still alive. Areas that have been bald for a long time are rarely covered again.

  • Thinning hair and increased shedding.
  • An oily scalp or product build-up together with thinning hair.

  • Hair loss whose cause has not been assessed, for example sudden or patchy hair loss. A doctor should assess you first.
  • Areas that have been bald for a long time.

The effect on the hair comes gradually and is assessed after three to six months. Maintenance keeps the result.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Infection, wounds, eczema or a psoriasis flare on the scalp.
  • Bleeding disorders. If you take blood-thinning medicine, tell the clinic.
  • Known allergy to any of the ingredients.

Contact the clinic if pain, swelling or redness increases after two days, or if you get a fever or pus. See a doctor if your hair loss increases quickly or you get patchy hair loss.
