What it is

Fat under the chin can be hereditary and remain even at a normal weight. Fat-dissolving injections break down the fat cells in a defined area, and the body removes them gradually over a few weeks. The treatment can be combined with skin tightening, so the skin under the chin firms up. A doctor assesses whether the fat suits the treatment.

  • Usually two to four treatments four to six weeks apart.

  1. The doctor examines the area and assesses the fat and skin.
  2. The area is marked and cleaned.
  3. Many small injections are placed in the fat.
  4. The area is cooled.
