Overview & Procedure

What the treatment is and how it's performed

What it is

In sonophoresis, ultrasound helps active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins and peptides penetrate deeper into the skin. The ultrasound waves briefly open the spaces in the top layer of the skin. The treatment is done on the face, neck and chest, and is often part of a facial.

  • Can be taken as a single treatment, or as a series of four to six treatments one to two weeks apart.

  1. The practitioner goes through your skin and your wishes.
  2. The skin is cleansed and exfoliated.
  3. Impurities are removed if needed.
  4. The treatment ends with serum, a mask and care suited to your skin.

The treatment takes 45–60 minutes.

The treatment does not hurt. Some people feel slight warmth or prickling.

  • Use mild skincare for the first day.
  • Wait until the evening or the next day before wearing make-up, if you can.
  • Use a high-factor sunscreen.
