What is alternative treatment? In Norway, the term "alternative treatment" has a legal definition: it is health-related treatment that is provided outside the health and care services, and is carried out by a practitioner without authorization as a health professional.  Examples: acupuncture, homeopathy, reflexology and aromatherapy. Alternative Treatment at Lierskogen Health Center We offer alternative treatment as part of our wellness and therapeutic treatments, in collaboration with Alfaklinikken - led by Charlotte Torgersen, a homeopath and acupuncturist with extensive experience in naturopathy. ⸻ About the Practitioner Charlotte Torgersen Homeopath MAF, Acupuncturist NAFO General Manager and Owner of Alfaklinikken Charlotte has over 30 years of experience in naturopathy and complementary treatment. She has completed a 5-year education at the Norwegian Academy of Naturopathy (MAF) and a 3.5-year education at the Norwegian Academy of Acupuncture (NAFO). She has also participated in acupuncture courses in China and had an internship at a Chinese hospital. She has also taken a number of courses in massage, food intolerance, diet, nutrition and vitamin/mineral therapy. Alfaklinikken was established in 1994 in Lørenskog and took over Lier Naturmedisin in March 2013. The clinic is now located in bright and modern premises at Lierskogen Health Center, Gamle Drammensvei. Our Treatment Philosophy The clinic offers a comprehensive treatment program based on complementary and natural medicine principles. The treatment is tailored to each individual client to support the body's natural ability to balance and recover.
