Overview & Procedure

What the treatment is and how it's performed

What it is

In lash tinting, a tint is applied to the lashes, so they become darker all the way to the tips. The lashes look longer and more defined without mascara. The tint is made for the area around the eyes.

  • The first time you tint your brows or lashes, or if it is long since last time, you should have an allergy test at least 48 hours before. The practitioner places a little tint behind your ear or in the crook of your elbow.
  • Come without make-up on your brows and lashes, if you can.
  • If you wear contact lenses, take them out before the treatment.

  1. The skin under the eye is protected with a pad or paper.
  2. You close your eyes, and the tint is applied to the lashes.
  3. The tint works for a few minutes.
  4. The tint is gently wiped away.

The treatment takes about 20–30 minutes.

Experience & Recovery

Pain level, downtime and healing

The treatment does not hurt. You lie with your eyes closed.

  • Uncommon: stinging or redness of the skin where the tint has been.
  • Rare: stinging in the eyes, or an allergic reaction with itching and swelling of the eyelids.

  • Avoid rubbing your eyes for the first hours.

No downtime.
