Overview & Procedure
What the treatment is and how it's performed
- The first time you tint your brows or lashes, or if it is long since last time, you should have an allergy test at least 48 hours before. The practitioner places a little tint behind your ear or in the crook of your elbow.
- Come without make-up on your brows and lashes, if you can.
- If you wear contact lenses, take them out before the treatment.
- The practitioner goes through the colour and shape you want.
- The lashes and brows are tinted, and the tint works for a few minutes.
- The tint is removed.
- The brows are shaped with tweezers, wax or thread.
The treatment takes 45–60 minutes.
Experience & Recovery
Pain level, downtime and healing
The tinting does not hurt. It stings a little when the brows are shaped.
- Uncommon: stinging or redness of the skin where the tint has been.
- Rare: an allergic reaction to the tint, with itching, swelling or a rash.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes and brows for the first hours.
- Avoid make-up and scented creams on the brows for the rest of the day.
No downtime. The skin can be slightly red for an hour or two.
