Overview & Procedure

What the treatment is and how it's performed

What it is

In a repair of one nail, a nail that has broken, lifted or chipped is fixed so it matches the others. This applies to gel polish, shellac, gel nails and acrylic nails. If it happens within seven days of the treatment, the repair is often free.

  1. The damaged nail is examined.
  2. Loose polish or gel is removed, and the nail is filed.
  3. New polish or gel is applied and cured.

The repair takes 15–30 minutes.

Experience & Recovery

Pain level, downtime and healing

The treatment does not hurt.

  • Common: the polish loosening or chipping at the edge after a few weeks.
  • Uncommon: an allergy to acrylates, with itching, redness and blisters around the nails.
  • Rare: thin, weak nails after many rounds, or an infection under a nail that has lifted.

  • Wear gloves for washing up and cleaning.
  • Apply oil or cream to your cuticles and hands every day.
  • Do not pick or peel off gel polish or gel nails. This takes layers of the nail with it and makes it thin and weak.
  • Come back for a refill or removal once the nails have grown out, usually after three to four weeks.

No downtime.
